Maximizing Your Engagement Photos
If you decide to have engagement photos taken, there is definitely more that you can do with them than just use them for your save the date cards. Engagement photos are a great way to pay homage to where you are in life now and what has brought you and your fiancé to such a wonderful adventure and should be treated as such. Here are some of my favorite ways to use engagement photos.
1. Print them for your home. Long gone are the days where every photo you took was printed, even the bad ones! Now are the days of photos on phones and computers with them hardly ever gracing our homes physically. I know one of my favorite things to do is go through old albums and boxes of pictures with family. Listening to and telling stories of days gone by and of old favorite places and travels is such a wonderful way to spend quality time with those you love. Be sure you can do that with your loved ones in the future and print your photos now. Whether they are loose prints in a box on your coffee table, framed on book shelf or wall, printed images should be a staple in every home.
2. Use them in your wedding planning and decor. This is a great way for guests to be able to view and enjoy your photos along with you. Some wonderful ways I have seen images used are on wedding websites, in guest books, as table decor, and as part of favors.
3. Cards! Thank you, holiday, etc... Everyone loves receiving a handwritten letter in the mail, why not use the photos from your session for thank you cards from your bridal shower or send a card for any holiday before your wedding; Christmas day, Valentines day, any day! I am sure your loved ones will adore being able to put it on their fridge or mantel for a time before storing it away to one day view again with loved ones. <3
